My husband, Dave, is a site supervisor. He is also a local Scout leader and one of my registered assistants.
We have two children - 16 and 13 years old.. We also have a cat called Oscar and a fish pond which is safely covered to OFSTED standards.
Our home is a non-smoking environment and I hope the children in my care find it a safe, loving, stable and fun place to be ... an extension of their own homes. I am qualified in Childminding Practice and in Paediatric First Aid and hold full Public Liability insurance. I undertake further training whenever possible. I also hold a Level Three qualification in Home Based Childcare. I follow the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework.
I employ a fully registered, part-time assistant one day a week. Vera has many years experience in childcare working for London Borough of Lambeth and Croydon looking after children in care.
We have a rear garden with a range of outdoor equipment, including a summer house, ride on toys, sand pit, swing, slide and a climbing frame. Inside I have a variety of toys to suit all ages which provide a wide range of learning and amusement. All areas of my house are accessible to the children in my care. I have a large colourful playroom with separate toilet and washing facilities.
